Homage to Ancestors (Day of the Dead, Mexico)

Sugared skull treats, mounds of fruit, candlelight vigils, the odd tequila bottle, skeleton dolls and cemeteries like no one has seen them before.       

This is the Day of Dead (Dia de los Muertos) Festival in Mexico celebrated across Mexican cemeteries and streets on the evening of November 1st. Now that’s a different way to spend Halloween!

You’ve gotta be pretty well suited up in a 7mm wetsuit or drysuit (if you get cold easily) to be ready to take on a 100 foot deep wreck in 40 degrees farenheit freshwater for a total dive time of 30 minutes !    

Brrr!…But the rewards are well worth all the effort!
